AnoHana the Movie

According to the official website, the movie of TV Anime Anohana (Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai, あの日見た花の名前を僕達はまだ知らない。) was announced and will be premiered in 2013. Directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai (長井 龍雪) who’s also the director of Ano Natsu de Matteru (あの夏で待ってる) and Toradora! (とらドラ!) , the series received lots of attentions. It was quite a surprise to see the movie announcement for the series since the main story was ended last Spring (of course, with a little inspiration of a second season or movie, as usual) and wonder what the director will bring to us. And of course, fans will be hugely disappointed if the movie turned out to be something like a roundup of the TV Anime and guess the company knows this too. However, as you can tell from the following illustration on the official website, the movie appears to retell the story from Menma’s perspective. So far no other information was revealed and we will keep you posted about the story.(http://theakiba.com/anohana-movie/)

What's up everyone sorry for not posting much to this, i've been posting to the facebook page, ANYWAY! Minami-Ke season 4, YUP IT'S HAPPENING ALRIGHT! After nearly 4 years since "Minami-Ke: Okaeri"(season 3) the 3 Minami Sisters are back in an all new series! The latest Minami-ke episode "Minami- Ke: Tadaima" is the most recent OVA(orginal video animation) which release October 25 2012!
The series is a "Slice of Life" and kinda ~Moe~ anime. It focuses around the lives of the 3 Minami sisters Kana, Chiaki, and Haruaka. There isn't much to say about it, it follows how they live. It's a bit weird but funny. The main voice actresses do all the openings and closings. Season 2 is a personal favorite of mine!

Tadaima will air in January of next year! the animation company changed to studio feel. Hope you guys will watch the series in time for season 4!

how i got the idea for the blog

this is a follow up to my post on my ocarina blog
so a little after the creation of ocarina sound i started thinking about anime and how my friends get really annoyed when i talk about it. with another conversation with Ms. Lian about her blog i started to think of blogs and anime. i thought "hey this might be a good way to talk about anime without annoying the hell out of my friends." thus anime stuff was made!

this is kinda late but who's psyched for the madoka magica movies that are coming in October!? it's gonna be a trilogy of movies, the first 2 are to air in October 6 and 13, 2012! the third film will be an all new story! maybe we will actually get to see madoka do some awesome stuff!

county fairs!

K-on! Summer Rock Festival

just today my town has started their county fair, for those who are don't know what it is then i shall tell you!(i am sorry i can not explain it at all). it's really fun and perfect time to hangout with family and friends! i've been there last year with my brother, ate soul food and went on a few rides to. i asked my friend to go but he didn't show up till after i left. anyway, this years county fair i will assume it will be the same as last year. i do have planes to go but no one would go with me(makes me feel alone, also doesn't really help that i'm otaku ;_;), but that's okay cause i will ask come across someone who would go! i guess this is like an summer festival in Japan without kimonos XD

I made this all version of Let's Go! why, because i love the long process and the payoff of when i'm done and people listen to it, also because i love you all!(to everyone who looks at this blog)! it sounds pretty nice and better with headphones!

this took me about an hour and a half about to mix. but anyway i gave all of them, yui,mio,ritsu, and azusa almost equal amount of audio. all of this was done with wavepad audio editor, it's a freeware. it's pretty good if you have an interest in this kind of stuff like me. it's easy to use. this was a long process but i love it! i made a video of me editing this a bit and explaining the process.

this is one of miyazaki's more childish, cute films that certainly is a strange one.
the original name in Japanese was "Gake no Ue no Ponyo"
The original release in japan was on July 19 2008. The American release was on August 14 2009
It's about a boy and a fish who turns into a girl. When Ponyo starts to develop a liking for human things(blood and ham) she starts to become more human. A boy name sosuke takes her in and this is where the movie get better, but this make no sense so here's a better description
"Ponyo (崖の上のポニョ Gake no Ue no Ponyo^?, literally "Ponyo on the Cliff"), initially titled in English as Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, is a 2008 Japanese animated fantasy filmwritten and directed by Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli. It is Miyazaki's eighth film for Ghibli, and his tenth overall. p.s: i actually really love this movie, i don't know why it's so low, so this should be my 3rd and howls moving castle should be 5th but really these are my favorite miyazaki films. ponyo is one of my top 5 miyazaki films, i still don't know why i put this so low.

Secret world of arrietty

this is miyazaki's more recent films. it was based of a book called The Borrowers by Mary Norton. Released in 2010 in Japan and later in 2012 in America. it follows the story of Arrietty, a borrower of the clock family. they live in a box under the floor. all arrietty wants to do is borrow. what do the borrowers borrow? they borrow things that people don't miss, small things like sugar, crumbs and other stuff. they try to not get seen by other humans. but on a borrowing with her father, pod she gets seen by Shaun, a boy who is sick and lives in the house the clock family's box is under. not telling anymore because i'm lazy and don't want to spoil things if you want to watch it
movie description: The Clock family are four-inch-tall people who live anonymously in another family's residence, borrowing simple items to make their home. Life changes for the Clocks when their daughter, Arrietty, is discovered.

Hayao Miyazaki week

tomorrow will kick off a week dedicated to the great Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki! there is no reason why i just feel the need to post about a great man who made such an impact on the anime world. Hayao Miyazaki directed such films as "the secret world of arrietty", "spirited away", "Castle in the sky", "ponyo", "howl's moving castle", and "my neighbor totoro". i will do a review of each movie in the order i listed bellow(from favorite to most favorite)

yes toku, it's Japanese live action that usually have people in costumes fighting other people in costumes

Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger/Mighty morph'in

in america we have "power rangers" (which people tend to like mighty morph'in(based off of Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger) just because it was the original) where it's looked down as a babies show, power rangers is based around the japanese toku known as "super sentai"(super sentai translates to super task force or team) and the current series "samurai" is based around "super sentai: Shinkenger" where they use phones that transform into brushes, samurai uses phones and beams of light. most of the fighting scenes are from super sentai. Saban, the creator of power rangers also created "masked rider" based off of "kamen rider black RX" originally aired in the late 80's (kamen rider translates to "masked rider, the Chinese translates to "masked super-man) masked rider failed, there was a power rangers mighty morph'in crossover ep with masked rider. we all know the success of power rangers today but kamen rider has been put into the shadows in america. 
Fun fact: kamen rider is one of the most long running tokusatsu in the world started in the early 70's

we have had attempts to bring one of the series to america, kamen rider ryuki.(FUN FACT: the anime "madoka magica" was inspired by KR Ruki) the name of the series "kamen rider dragon knight" Ryuki translates to....dragon knight, it followed the series pretty good and the main characters name "Kit Taylor" is a reference to ryuuki, the main character of ryuuki was "kiddo taylor"(or something similar to "Taylor") the trailer for dragon knight had the original logo of ryuuki, it's at the end and morphs into the translated logo. the transformation or Henshin of dragon knight was a little better than the Japanese. DK and Masked rider shared the same demise, people thought it was a rip-off of power rangers, which it's not, in japan kamen rider was first, and both sentai and rider are made by toei.  The current rider series in japan is "fourze" the 40th anniversary rider. the next rider "kamen rider wizard" will make his debut in the movie "kamen rider fourze: everyone it's space time!" he henshins with rings, and his design is basic but cool. there are plans to bring fourze to america as "power rider".

Ore no Imout (for short) means "there's no way my sister can be this cute!"
"Kyosuke Kosaka, a normal 17-year-old high school student living in Chiba, has not gotten along with his younger sister Kirino in years. For longer than he can remember, Kirino has ignored his comings and goings and looked at him with spurning eyes. It seemed as if the relationship between Kyōsuke and his sister, now fourteen, would continue this way forever. One day however, Kyosuke finds a DVD case of a magical girlanime which had fallen in his house's entrance way. To Kyosuke's surprise, he finds a hidden eroge (an adult game) inside the case and he soon learns that both the DVD and the game belong to Kirino. That night, Kirino brings Kyosuke to her room and reveals herself to be an otaku with an extensive collection of ~moe~ anime and younger sister-themed eroge she has been collecting in secret. recently i was viewing my friend's blog (http://plainlylife.blogspot.com/) and she had a post about tea, this led me thinking about k-on because they drink tea and stuff. i went to my local Japanese goods online store and yep they had it azu-nyan's tea cup and for a reasonable price(actually, 27 dollars it's really good for a ceramic cup replica of something as popular as k-on!) so go check out his awesome replica of azusa's mug!
